Estella Evaluation

Estella Evaluation

I was really pleased with my Estella final look because I had chosen to work on a model whom had a fringe.  I had also only practised my hairstyle once before the timed assessment and I felt it went really well so this was a bonus.

If I was to change anything to redo this look it would be to apply the make-up slightly heavier.  As the image was shot in black and white the make-up was very hard to pick up.  I would make the contouring and the blusher heavier so you can really see the strong features.  Although I would want certain products to be heavier, I would also need to blend them into the foundation so it looks like a beautiful make-up rather than products just layered on top of each other.

I loved the hairstyle I had chosen to do as it had quite a few steps to follow which meant this was challenging for me.  I needed to manage my time well so I didn’t run over my time limit.  I did this by splitting up my time into sections and allocation steps to those time frames.

I would definitely do this look again on the same model because I thought she was perfect for the look I was trying to achieve.  She is beautiful but has a young face just like Estella and creating this look on her was great for my timed assessment.
